Video interview on PERM US lead-free aerospace project

A video interview has been released giving details of the very large and significant PERM project, involving major US aerospace and military agencies. The project coordinates risk management activities for implementation of lead-free electronics.

The PERM (Pb-free Electonics Risk Management) project builds on the work of a previous consortium known as LEAP. It is coordinated by the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) and includes support from DoD, DoE, Army, Air Force, Navy, FAA, NASA, and industry.

The technical component of the work has been labelled the Manhattan Project.

The interview took place at the IPC Mid-West event in September 2009 and is with Danny Fritz who is on the Communications team of the PERM project.
